New Progressive Christian Baptist Church is a place where people can find Love and unity, as well as receive life-giving community resources, fellowship through other families, youth interaction, and military families support. We are a church where you will be welcomed with opening arms. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory. We are a growing church that love the Lord and our community deeply! Every Sunday we have an encounter with God, and our members guests leave us with a weight lifted from them, and we would love for you to join us as well! If you are planning to visit we are here for you.

The service lasts about an hour. Someone will typically open the service with prayer, and a worship team & band will lead us through 3 songs of worship. The songs are typically contemporary, and the words are displayed on the screen for everyone to sing along. After the songs, a host will make a couple short announcements, before a teaching pastor gets up to share a sermon. The sermon lasts about 30 minutes and uses the Bible to teach its points. At the end, the service concludes in a time of prayer.

We offer Kid’s Church for children age three through 5th grade, as well as Nursery (infants, crawlers, walkers—newborn through age 2) during each of our worship services. Our cell phone parent paging system, and secure kids area will allow you to have peace of mind during our services. 

What do I wear?
You may wear whatever you want. There may be some people who wear suits and ties, some who enjoy more business casual (slacks and a button shirt), and still others who prefer jeans and t-shirt. It’s important to remember that God looks at the soul, not at the suit.

Will I be asked to give money?
We do receive an offering each Sunday after the time of singing & worship. Our offerings help us to keep the lights on enable us to reach our community. But, more than half of our people give online or by phone; if you are a guest or visitor, don’t feel obligated to give.

We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through the words of human authors. As the verbally inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged. Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in all that it promises.  Pastor

Bishop Hayes serves as pastor and as a teaching preacher, administrator and oversees all ministries at New Progressive Christian Baptist Church, which have grown over the last several months. His passion is for all the people of God to come to the saving power of Jesus. With a background in youth ministry and a degree in biblical studies, his passion is to evangelize the lost and bring people to an authentic relationship with Jesus Christ. 

     Associate Minister

             Apostle McDonald  oversees the women’s ministry at New Progressive CBC. Where they meet weekly for Bible Studies, discussions and fun. She's dedicated to individuals that makes up a strong team of people, who will serve the high school and college students of the Oxnard community.

1st Lady of New Progressive CBC

Our 1st Lady also helps to oversee the women’s ministry at New Progressive CBC. Her focus on building community relationships is a great blessing to our team, serving behind the scenes, enabling each ministry to succeed!
